Live Rent-Free* and Save Money

House sitting is normally a simple exchange - you get to stay in lovely houses across the country, for free, in exchange for looking after the pets and/or garden.

  • The House Owner doesn't have to pay for dog or cat boarding, garden maintenance or extra security, all of which are very expensive - and still leave much to be desired.
  • You (the sitter) doesn't have to pay for accommodation.

Many people choose house-sitting just to save money. Imagine not having to pay rent every week...

Travel & Get a Bigger View

There is no better way to experience a new place than to live with the locals. Add to that the ease of living in a comfortable home, the joy of caring for some beautiful pets and the knowledge that you have good support from neighbors and locals, should you need it. House and Pet Sitting is an amazing way to see the United States.

No matter what reason you start house-sitting, you can't help but become a bigger person through the experience. You meet new people and animals and discover a little of how others live. You walk through new settings, shop in unfamiliar places and see the world from a slightly different perspective.

It's really easy to get started - don't be shy.

*FREE: House sitting is usually free, for both sitter and house owner, although this is completely up to the individuals. There are usually some costs that need to be covered by either the sitter or the house owner e.g. electricity, phone usage, vet fees etc. How these costs are handled needs to be agreed before the sit begins. House sitters pay a single annual membership fee, while house owners pay nothing to advertise their house or to contact sitters.
